I woke up this morning with the feeling of goosebumps radiating through my body. Although the bedroom window of the beautiful Utah house was open, it was not from the beautiful crisp air ruffling the curtains...It was the Spirit.
With out even trying I remember immediately what day it was. December 21st 2012. One year ago today I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I feel as though I need to thank a few extremely supportive people who helped me in my darkest times this past year.
1. "Sister" Shalysa Meier, even when I thought I was leaving the Church... She continued to be a real best friend and sister to me... Just as she was on her mission and when she was home, as she stood beside me, handing me a towel last year as I came out of the font.
3. Al Fox, who always reminded me to Continue
2. Blair Ahlstrom, he is my brother and also stood with me IN the font to assist in helping me enter into a truly beautiful convenant with Heavenly Father. I don't think he even realizes how much he's helped me through my trials, but if you ever see him. Hug him. He deserves it.
3. Trevor Boardman, Where do I even begin with this one. To clarify, He was the person who baptized me as Blair assisted... Even when he couldn't call me and talk things out... I knew he was still always there. I love him dearly, and cannot wait until I can see him again.
4. Last but certainly not least, thank you to my brother Jesus Christ. With out Him, none of this would be possible. I am so happy that I know him. I'm even more happy to know the He knows Me. He is not only my brother, but my savior.
Heavenly Father. Thank you for blessing me everyday and always giving me strength to carry on. Here's to 2013 and the trials, blessings, and adventures that you have in store for me. I love you so much.
To anyone else I may have missed. I'm sorry, and know that I love you.
It's almost impossible to even try to write out what I'm feeling. Of the things I do know,
I made the right decision last December. My Father in Heaven loves me. My heart is full. My cup runneth over.
